About this Event

On Wednesday, December 8, 2021, from Noon – 1 pm (EST), FountainHead RI Co-Founders David Almonte and Jason Dodier hosted an impromptu fireside chat with nationally recognized leadership expert and former Best Buy CEO Hubert Joly. One of the core topics of discussion was centered around his hot off the press, best-selling book “The Heart of Business – Leadership Principles for the Next Era of Capitalism.”

You can check out the recording of our session with Hubert Joly at your convenience here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZAfA9PogF0&t=404s

Some of the areas that were covered during the dynamic, one hour long session were:

  • People over profit: Treating profit as an outcome vs. the goal and ultimately pursuing a noble purpose by putting people at the heart of business
  • Vulnerability – not afraid to try new things – stepping outside your comfort zone
  • Ability to lead from any position – How can, say employees outside of upper management, view leadership?
  • Why is it so important to surround yourself and your leadership team with individuals with different backgrounds, experiences, ideas?
  • We know about the power of “yes” but what about the power of “no”?
