About this Event
On Wednesday, August 18th, 2021 the FountainHead RI community will be hosting its final Community Educational Expert Panel Event of 2021 on the topic of “The Economy and The Big Reopening.” This event will be held in a digital (online) format only with future in-person events currently being discussed (stay tuned!).
The COVID-19 pandemic has hit the global economy fast and with force. There were no warning signs and we still, over a year and a half later, find ourselves in the middle of the storm (although in a much better position than this time last year). As global economies open back up many questions come to mind as to what the reopening will look like, what we need to know before doing so (and along the way), as well as many other topics impacting both those right here in Rhode Island and individuals around the world.
Topics to be covered (not limited to):
• Quick overview of the past year+ (set the stage for panel discussion)
• What will business look like coming out of a pandemic? How will it differ pre-pandemic times?
• What will an equitable recovery look like?
- Including education
• Innovation/technology and impact on businesses due to COVID
- What does it mean for future?
• What businesses pivoted and which ones failed? What can we learn from each?
Logistics:
100% online panel event – no need to leave your home or business! Zoom link to be provided prior to event (must register to receive the link).
Please arrive a few minutes early as we will begin promptly at 5:30 pm and run for one full hour, including time for Q&A at the end.
