The the host and moderator was none other than Jill Pfitzenmayer, PH.D. (@RIFoundation) who is the Vice President of the Initiative for Nonprofit Excellence at the Rhode Island Foundation. Joining Jill on the main stage were three distinguished panelists beginning with Stephen Hourahan, (@StephenHourahan) who is a leader in the Rhode Island Non Profit community, currently serving as the Chief Advancement Officer of Family Service of Rhode Island, where he is responsible for all aspects of public relations, marketing, and branding for a $25 million organization serving 20,000 Rhode Islanders. Stephen also serves as the Executive Director of AIDS Project Rhode Island, a division of Family Service, which provides a caring and comprehensive array of supports for people living with HIV/AIDS.

Erica is also the Co-Founder and CEO of (step)mom: v, sits on the Boards of Directors of Fusionworks Dance Company and The CSPH, and was selected as an “Emerging Nonprofit Leader” by the Rhode Island Foundation in 2014 and a “Woman to Watch” in Social Services by Providence Business News in 2017.
Lastly, our very own Co-Founder Nick Denice (@FountainHeadRI) rounded out the panel with his experience as a millennial sitting on the Board of Directors for Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island where he serves on the Finance Committee and as Vice Chair of the Audit Committee. Blue Cross is Rhode Island’s leading health insurer with over 400,000 members and revenues of $1.7 billion annually.
The discussion was lively with very unique viewpoints among the candidates that they would express through a series of questions delivered throughout the discussion and lively Q&A session to finish.
